Video games are cool and I always dreamed of making my own. When Covid happened, we had to close down NJ Film School for a season. Stuck at home, I couldn't teach or make movies. So, I taught myself how to make video games and another creative addiction was born.
Video Games:
It's the zombie apocalypse and Cassie, a sarcastic 18 year old armed with only her wits and a kitchen knife, must get to her uncle’s farm. Keep Cassie alive in this turn-based strategy game as she battles the undead across thirty levels trying to survive and not get bit.
This is the game I made during Covid. I got together with 7 talented friends, we worked on it for a year, and then released the game on Steam in 2021.
Earth is under attack and it's up to the Planetary Emergency Measure Defensive Action Squad (PEMDAS) to roll the dice and create formulas to attack and defend your way through ten waves of aliens.
Making a game with friends was fun, but I wanted to push myself and see what I could do alone. So, I joined a game jam, taught myself to use Construct 3, and created PEMDAS on my own in ten days. PEMDAS stands for the math tip to remember the order of operations (after I released the game I learned they use the letters BOMDAS in England). PEMDAS released on Itch in 2025
The Professor is dead. But who killed him and why? Puzzle your way through ten levels to find the answer.
I made it to the second round of the Game Jam competition with PEMDAS and 10 Robots was my second entry. It was also released on Itch in 2025 and it ended up winning 7th place.
Nuts and Bolts
Robots are becoming sentient and revolting on the factory floor. Now you must use the assembly line machines against them to destroy the robots and save humanity.
Nuts and Bolts is my latest game and I'm currently hard at work on it. It's a fun puzzle game that has you attempting to stop a robot uprising while combining tower-defense with turned-based strategy. If all goes well, it should be out on Steam next year.
Board Games:
Is it any surprise that I'm also addicted to board games (see my favorites in Lists)?
Back in middle school, I really did want to be a board game designer and I even made a game called "Mankind Madness" (which I still have). It's a way-too-complicated adaptation of "The Lord of the Flies" that has kids killing kids to survive (perfect for middle school).
Recently, I discovered the joy of cooperative games (you win or lose together) and I got an idea to make my own.
Dice Defenders
Our world is being torn asunder. Use the ancient elements (fire, earth, air, water, and the cosmos) to restore order in this cooperative challenge featuring Platonic dice building, two-player strategy, and a little bit of the luck of the die.
Inspired by Platonic solids (tetrahedron, hexahedron, octahedron, dodecahedron, and icosahedron) and the stories behind them, I've been building this cooperative game. I hope to begin play-testing with family and friends later this year.
